Nicolas "Nick" Poulos is a fictional character from Heartbreak High. Nick was a student, influential to others, Con's cousin, dies in episode 38, romantically involved with Jodie Cooper and Daniele Miller.

Early life[edit]

Nick Poulos was born in Sydney as Nicolas Poulos. He is the son of first-generation Greek immigrants, and is the oldest of two siblings. He has a sister, Effie. He grew up in Mabrouba, a working-class suburb of Sydney. His mother was killed in a car accident.

Character development[edit]

Nick is the handsome, shy cousin of Con Bordino, the hairy, funny high school guy. His love affair with Jodie rebellious rocker, a new arrival in Hartley High School, was too good to be true, Nick died during a boxing match, by the end of the first season.

The first day of school new a student, Jodie Cooper, catches the eye of Nick. He also meets a new student that day, Jack Tan, who had problem with the bad boy of Hartley High School, Peter Rivers. Nick didn't get along with Rivers since he met him. They hate each other. That first day they fight after school. Christina Milano goes to stop the fight and she gets hit by Nick accidently during the fight. The week later, Nick, Rose and Jodie lead their fellow students in a strike and Deloraine counters with the threat of suspensions for all those involved. The dispute is amicably settled through negotiatons with everyone getting their demands. Nick kisses Jodie for the first time. Nick asks to Con to help him to find an amplifier for Jodie. Then Con borrows an amplifier from his uncle to allow Jodie to make a demo tape of her songs. Nick spends the night with Jodie, causing his parents to worry about his absence. After leaving home following an argument with his father, Nick moves in with Jodie and begins looking for a job so he can drop out of school.
