An Islamopologist is someone who systematically tries to distance violence from Islam when it is committed by a Muslim or in the name of Islam. To do so, the islamopologist uses different wording to shift blame after an islamic terrorist attack or by making excuses for Islam, or by dismissing the islamic character of the attack, even in the presence of hard evidence that the perpetrator(s) acted in the name of Islam. The word has ben used for sometime in conferences, blogs or in articles, like on youtube on May 27 2008 <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aawn51OjwkA> or like columnist Debbie Schlussel in August 24, 2012, <http://www.debbieschlussel.com/53513/2016-maker-dinesh-dsouza-is-islamopologist-said-america-deserved-911-hamas-cair-lecture-circuit-figure/> and more recently by Allan West who introduced the word per se, to the media on January 19, 2015, <http://www.allenbwest.com/2015/01/im-coining-new-term-islamapologist/> The word Islamopologist is a contraction into one word of "Islam" and "apologist", shorter, more direct, it makes it simpler to use and codifies the behavior of said person who either apologizes for islam or makes excuse for islam or shifts blame for Islam, altogether regardless of the evidence.
