An Eggel (Egg Bagel) is a bagel containing an egg which is scrambled and then formed into a flat burger shape.
An Eggel is often layered with other ingredients, for example:
- Provolone or a type of cheese, in which case it becomes a Cheegel
- Pastrami, in which case it becomes a Pastramel
